{weekend wishes}

THIS WEEKEND we had the most perfect weather you could ever imagine. 70 degrees and sunny made for a wonderful excuse to stay outdoors, walk Sophia, and take care of some of our yard work for the Spring.

We started this weekend a little early with a date night on Thursday night at Melting Pot for Knoxville Restaurant Week. We have been on opposite schedules the past week, so it was great to have some time to catch up. JK and I had never been and I have to say, I was a little disappointed. I did not realize we would have to cook our own food! We did love the cheese fondue and the shrimp was delicious. I think it may be a one stop shop for us, though.

I met my wonderful friend, Ashley, Friday night for a fun night of bargain shopping at Junior League's Bag-A-Bargain Preview Party. We found some incredible finds!! Apples to Apples, a desk calendar and potting vase topped the list! I had a self-realization at Bag-A-Bargain that I am not a "sifter" for good finds, and seriously, the thought of walking through rows of people's "gently used" items is exhausting to me! But, I am always amazed at some of the diamonds in the rough that some people are able to find. Whew... too much work for me!

Saturday morning after Barre class, JK and I had brunch with some of our dear friends, MB and Stu, at Gourmet Market. Halfway through our first cup of coffee, they shared the most wonderful news... they are having a baby!! We are so excited to meet Baby Oakes in September! I'm sure we will have baby shower post soon!! The only question now is, will the Oakes be buying pink or blue?!?

Saturday night we celebrated one of my co-workers and friends wedding celebration. Casey and Jesse were married in Washington DC a few weeks ago, but had their wedding party in Knoxville at the Laurel Theater.

It was absolutely beautiful and such a sweet, special party for an incredible couple.

That's all for our weekend wishes. I hope yours was wonderful as well!
