{time flies}

I am in complete disbelief that we celebrated our first anniversary this weekend. One thing I am sure of is {time flies} faster than I ever imagined.

This weekend, JK and I celebrated our anniversary at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville. It is truly a destination. From the ten-foot fireplaces to the amazing food and atmosphere, it was absolutely perfect. We will most surely be visiting again soon! As we reflected over year-old cake and champagne, we both realized how important it is to cherish the moments we have together.

{after one year, i confess...}

  • I love to organize and plan. Everything. JK is not a planner. At all.
  • It's totally fine for us to be in separate rooms in the house, but I do love when we are together.
  • JK's Saturday golf game has become a favorite past time for both of us.
  • After an entire year of attempts, I have accepted the fact that I can not bake chicken.
  • We are both simply in love with our little pound puppy. She has made this year wonderful.
  • Marriage would be impossible if the foundation is not built in Christ.
Many people told us the first year of marriage is the most difficult. I like to look at it as challenging. It is the time you truly get to know your husband and all of their silly little quirks {is it really normal to have a duck quacking as your alarm sound} and make little plans for the future. It's the most wonderful time in a marriage and we are so very blessed and thankful to have each other.

All in all, it's been one amazing year!
