{beach trip packing 101}

My college girlfriends and I are headed on our first beach trip together since our senior year in college {five} years ago! We are looking forward to late nights, too much sun and catching up on our crazy, very different lives.

As I loaded my car for the {four} day trip with a total of {five}very colorful bags, I realized how important the beach packing list is to ensure a fabulous vacay.

After countless hours of shopping and trying on almost every dress in my closet, here's what finally made the suitcase cut...

{lilly swimsuit from Rue La La, I had to pull over at a stoplight for this purchase!}

{lilly sun hat...last minute find and must have}

{colorful maxi dress}
{kate spade silk top and white denim}
{men's wear pajamas}

And of course, a book by my absolute favorite author, Elin Hilderbrand.

It's going to be the {perfect} trip!

{30 days}

Studies show it takes 30 days to develop a new habit or routine. On the flip side, it also takes 30 days to stop a bad habit {such as hitting the snooze button on your alarm clock}. I am always up for a new challenge, so here we go!

I am going to try to give up one habit and add one very exciting addition to my daily routine for the next 30 days...

For the past year or so, I have dappled in blogging, but have struggled to find my voice and a clear purpose for this blog. The next 30 days are devoted to adding content and clearly defining the Live Colorfully Blog. My goal is 30 new and exciting posts for the next 30 days.

You can most likely already tell what I plan to give up, the alarm clock. There is no reason why I feel the need to hit the snooze button repeatedly, but I do. So here's to waking up the {first} time the alarm goes off.

I encourage you to try something new for 30 days, you never know where it could lead you!

The TED video below will help get you started on your 30 day journey..
